Mod Details

Mod Manager
The Mod Manager is accessed via the Shift-Click menu of your active Sim. You will see a menu item “R2R Manager.” Selecting that will open up menu options for all of the features.

By default all of the features are enabled and can be selectively toggled on and off from this menu. Turning a feature on or off only impacts the current played Sim.

Checking Furniture for Loose Change
Any sitting surface is a potential opportunity for a Sim to have lost a few Simoleons. This means that it’s also an opportunity for your Sim to find them! Simply select a sitting surface such as a chair, couch, or bench and the option “Check for Loose Change” will appear. Selecting this action will have your Sim try their luck at finding some Simoleons.

Middle Income and Well-Off Sims that perform this action will have some reputation loss if they are seen doing this.

The moodlets that a Sim gets from searching for loose change vary in strength. Poor Sims obtain a +3 version of the moodlets, Middle Income Sims get a +2 version, and Well-Off Sims get a +1 version.

Middle Income Sims will occasionally feel remorse at scooping up loose change that could have been found by a needier Sim. When this happens they will be unable to perform some of the activities in the mod until their guilt passes.

Well-Off Sims that receive a negative moodlet will always feel guilt from their actions and be unable to perform some of the activities in the mod until their guilt passes.

Fountains
Most game fountains are a potential opportunity for a Sim to have lost a few Simoleons. This means that it’s also an opportunity for your Sim to find them! Simply select a fountain and, if the fountain has any change, the option “Fetch Coin” will appear. Selecting this action will have your Sim try their luck at finding some Simoleons.

Middle Income and Well-Off Sims that perform this action will have some reputation loss if they are seen doing this.

Vendors
Sims vendors that sell prepared food such as food stalls, baristas, and bartenders have a soft spot for a few things. Among them are less fortunate Sims and hungry Sims. Sims can approach any operating market stall and “Ask Vendor for Freebie.” The odds of the vendor offering you a 100% discount are extremely high if your household income is in the poor range or any Sim, regardless of their income, with one of the hunger buffs visible. The odds decrease quite a bit for Middle Income Sims asking for free food and the odds of a Well-Off Sim getting a free meal and very, very low. Not impossible but a Well-Off Sim is more likely to win the lottery twice in a row than get a free meal.

If the vendor does make you a special offer you will have a limited window to make your complementary purchase or you will need to ask them again.

This option is not available during the Night On The Town surprise holiday.

Getting a vendor’s helping hand will increase a Sim’s confidence while failing to convince them will be quite embarrassing.

Shaking Vending Machines
Vending machines, the ever faithful guardians of trinkets, treasures, and treats! These silent vendors can be shaken and jostled to obtain Simoleons and/or the occasional item. The items dropped are those exclusive to the vending machine so you will food from the food machines, items from item machines. Many machines have alternate items that are only offered during certain festivals or other conditions. Those items are also available to drop from jostling the vending machine.

The amount of Simoleons that your Sim can obtain from this will increase as their Fitness skill increases.

Select “Shake Machine” to try your luck.

The shaking interaction carries the same likelihood of the machine falling on your Sim and/or killing you Sim as trying to unstick a vending machine if a regular purchase becomes stuck.

Middle Income and Well-Off Sims that perform this action will have some reputation loss if they are seen doing this.

Hacking Vending Machines
If you have a 7 or higher in Handiness, Mischief, or Computer Programming can use their skills to reprogram a vending machine so that the next transaction gives a free item. This action has the appearance of performing maintenance on the vending machine and will fool any nearby Sim into thinking you’re doing a public service so your reputation, if another sim sees you, is increased.

You sim will gain in these same skills from performing this interaction.

Gifting
A poor Sim may be given a friendly gift by any nearby NPC Sim. This will occur around once per day. Just remember, it’s the thought that counts.

There is nothing the player needs to do or any interaction to execute.

Mailboxes
A poor Sim may receive a random useful item that was deposited in their mailbox by an anonymous Sim. Because it’s any anonymous surprise, the mailbox flag remains unchanged but you can check your mailbox about once per day and “Check for Surprises” by clicking on the mailbox. Once you have checked the mailbox. the interaction will disappear until sometime in the following day.
