Modern Monolith – Eco Lifestyle Residential Lot
A big, modern house for Eco Lifestyle! The angular footprint was inspired by converted shipping container houses, without actually being made of converted shipping containers. The interior surfaces and furnishings were made from reclaimed industrial shelving units and bolts of fabric that were cast off when the style changed in 2010. Furthering the ecologically-sound design outside, bright flagstone flooring reflects the sunlight and the distinct lack of a lawn of any kind conserves water and prevents toxic fertiliser runoff.
The empty room off the top floor library can serve as a third bedroom, a home office, a walk-in closet, or something entirely else!
