Flying J Motel

Flying J Motel

This is an American-style motel from the 1990s that I built for a story. It was designed to resemble an actual motel from my hometown, combined with various motels I’ve stayed in. I tried to keep the floorplan as consistent with real space as possible, putting noisebreaks between rooms and avoiding plumbing fixtures on exterior walls. The only artefact is the carpark; the lot was too small to build a space large enough for two rows of parking stalls and a thoroughfare. But, TS4 doesn’t have any cars anyway, so who cares, right? The manager I mention in the library description lived onsite in my story, which explains the weird single on the edge of the property with the full kitchen.

The motel has:
4 singles
2 doubles
1 manager’s suite
2 public restrooms
Lobby and office
Laundry and vending
Fitness room
Pool

Each guest suite has cable TV, a kitchenette, and free WiFi.

A lot of packs were needed to get the motel just right, so the requirements are pretty substantial. To display the entire lot as intended, you’ll need basically every EP, SP, and GP released prior to High School Years. Packs released after this time are not used (because I don’t have them).
