Ask For Promotion
Hi, everyone. This mod took me literally all day to make and it’s not quite what I wanted but it does the job. With this mod, there will be a new interaction under the phone in the business category. If your sim has a career, they can ask their boss for a promotion. They can get 8 different buffs depending on how their boss responds! They will then have to wait 24 hours before they can ask again. This mod is intended purely for storytelling purposes and will not actually promote your sim.
Known issues: Teenage and older sims in high school or university without a job will still have the “Ask for Promotion” option due to the way school is considered a career by the game. I don’t know how to fix this yet. It doesn’t hurt anything, though.
Future Ideas:
Making sims with certain traits get different buffs. Easy to implement, just tedious.
Cause positive buffs to give the sim a promotion. This did not want to work.
Make the buffs that a sim gets depend on their job performance level instead of being random. This also did not want to work, but I hope I can figure it out.
I only tested this in base game so let me know if there are any issues.
